Shortcuts

Latest redirects and full release lists — same official Assets as the forge. For version-matched downloads by OS, use Download by system on the home page.

  1. .tar.gz: extract (file manager or tar -xvf <file>.tar.gz). .AppImage: mark as executable — chmod +x ./file.AppImage or file properties → allow executing.

  2. Run the Ryujinx binary from the extracted folder, or run the AppImage (exact names vary by release). If the binary is not executable, chmod +x with the real filename.

  3. For .NET or missing libraries, read the release notes and the wiki for your distro (dependencies and drivers differ).

  4. Continue with First-time setup. Steam Deck: see Steam Deck / SteamOS below.

Steam Deck / SteamOS

  • Use the x64 Linux asset only (e.g. x64.AppImage or Linux + x64). ARM64 builds are not for Steam Deck.
  • Work in Desktop Modefor setup. You can Add to Steamon the AppImage for shortcuts in Gaming Mode.
  • If the app never starts, an old config may block it: see config folder (first-time setup) — back up ~/.config/Ryujinx and try a fresh tree.
  • EmuDeck / Steam ROM Manager: point the Ryujinx executable at the same Canary AppImageyou downloaded; update that path when you upgrade the file.
